ARE YOU READY TO APPLY?

WHAT IS A MICROENTERPRISE?

A microenterprise is defined as a small-scale business created around a need, hobby or an interest, where start-up costs may only be $500-$2k. A microenterprise is not an alternative to employment, but a choice as much as traditional employment or an apprenticeship is.

Microenterprises can be valuable as they offer episodical employment and income. A microenterprise does not need to be a life-long business and can work well as a transient option for people needing to develop skills, give it a go, or to pick it up and down as needed.

Check out Our Grantees page for some inspiration.

WHAT IS A MICROENTERPRISE GRANT?

A microenterprise grant is simply  121 Inc.’s way of helping you achieve your initial business goals.

\We recognise that you may have a wonderful idea and a well thought out business plan but no capital to start!

We will consider grants up to the value of $2000.00 in start up costs.

WHAT ITEMS ARE LIKELY TO BE FUNDED?

Please see our resource Microenterprise Grantable Items List provided below.

121 Inc. will not fund the costs of support staff and adhere to a strict policy that no alcohol, drugs or gambling activities occur under their Grant processes.
